The iconic 90s girl group announced that they are reuniting for a six-date UK stadium tour in June 2019; but, unfortunately, Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice, will not be in attendance.
The news was broken on the group’s newly created social media accounts as Geri Horner, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton which saw the foursome transform from newscasters into their Spice Girl alter egos Scary, Sporty, Baby and Ginger before breaking into an acapella rendition of ‘Spice Up Your Life’.

“It’s time to spice things up all over again! I can’t wait to perform to our forever supporting fans and a whole new spice generation!” Bunton said in a press release. “Together we will celebrate girl power with our fans and the next generation… Hold tight it’s gonna be fun,” Horner added.
Emma Bunton, aka Baby Spice, teased the news this morning after she was grilled by her Heart radio co-host Jamie Theakston. Later on in the day, Mel B let it slip on Loose Women that fans will be able to buy tickets on Friday.

The stadium tour will kick off June 1 at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and will then head to Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, Sunderland’s Stadium of Light, Edinburgh’s BT Murrayfield Stadium and Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium. It will conclude at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 15, a mere 21 years after the group played the venue on their Spice World Tour.
In a press release, Beckham said she would be foregoing the tour to focus on her growing fashion empire.
“Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go on tour,” said Beckham. “I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!”
However, Monday morning Mel B revealed a world tour would follow and said she hoped Beckham would make an appearance in some shows.
“It’s just the four of us,” said Mel B on Loose Women. “I hope Victoria will join us at some point. It’d be a shame if she didn’t.”
The last time the Spice Girls played altogether was at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic’s, which saw the group launching into some of their biggest hits including ‘If You Wanna Be My Lover’ and ‘Spice Up Your Life’ atop black taxis. They haven’t properly toured as a band since 2008’s The Return of the Spice Girls world tour.
Tickets go on sale on November 10 at 10:30am at ticketmaster.co.uk and gigsandtours.com with Jess Glynne set to accompany the group as a “special guest.”
