The Face Of The Supreme x Louis Vuitton Collab, Noah Brown Is A Model To Watch

Wednesday 14 November 2018

If you follow Noah on Instagram you’ll know he’s here, there and everywhere, posing with Gigi Hadid or Irina Shayak one minute and the face of Versace the next. Just one year into his modelling career, Noah Brown has an impressive list of projects already under his belt, from being the face of the Supreme x Louis Vuitton collab and doing the Calvin Klein World campaign to being the first model on the GQ Korea cover, and featuring in the Moschino x H&M campaign. His resumé spectacular.

We were lucky enough to get a few minutes with Noah to discuss everything from his earliest memory of fashion to his hopes and dream for the future! Crowned within the top 50 top models this year, he’s certainly an exciting one to watch and we cannot wait to see the heights he’s heading! Watch this space.

Tell us a bit about you and where you come from…

I am from Basel; my father is Cuban, and my mother is Swiss

How did you get into modelling?

My agency Visage discovered me on Instagram, then I met them at the agency, and magic happened!

Social media has transformed the model casting process, what are your thoughts on this?

I think it is a great opportunity to show your work, but I prefer the classic way, introducing myself personally to the client and to meet clients in person! I like to keep my private life for me, my family and my homies!

Tell us a bit about the most recent project you’ve been apart of…

The show for Moschino & H&M last week (Nov 24). It was so cool and such a great energy, it was good to see Jeremy Scott and all the models again that I shot the campaign with together, and of course I loved my outfit!

Do you look up to anyone for inspiration, modelling or otherwise?

Definitely Kim Jones (Dior) is great person and amazing designer and creative director

How do you think dance school prepared you for the harsh reality of modelling?

Dance had big impact on my career, it gave me self-confidence for the stage and has taught me the correct body language

You made your runway debut as the first person to walk the Supreme and Louis Vuitton’s joint showcase – talk us through how it felt to be selected!

When Zineta Blank (my agent) told me that I was confirmed, I first thought that she was joking, but she kept telling me she was being serious, and I realized… WOW! That was the most important moment in my career, that and when Kim Jones told me that I am opening the show, that was second shock… it was just unreal!

Fashion Month kept you busy. How was that experience?

I am always super busy at that time and I didn’t even have any time to really think about it all. But after fashion week, when I see what kind of work i did…it is always surprising.

And what do you think about just before you hit the runway?

I just want to get out on the catwalk…

What is a career highlight for you so far?

Opening for Louis Vuitton x Supreme, and also working with the legendary Steven Meisel for many of his world campaigns. Also, shooting on the streets of Japan for the Brutus Magazine with Louis Vuitton x Supreme was a very special feeling, especially wearing the same outfit that I wore when I opened the show.

How do you prepare for fashion shows and shoots?

I live a very healthy life, doing lots of sport, so I’m always ready to go! At the moment I don’t need to prepare, but what is important for me is to know the brand and the crew. I think it’s important to know the work of the people that you work with, not just the name!

And what are some of your dreams for the future?

To collaborate with some cool brands and create my own shirt that would be fun, but that is just the dream for later!
