This young artist has arrived on the scene and is here to stay. After competing on Britain’s Got Talent when she was just 11, Molly Rainford is stacking hits, one after the other. Her new track, ‘Commitment’ , is relatable, catchy and an easy tune to blast.
To learn a little bit more about the young musician, we asked her a few questions to discover what makes her tick.
What do you pull inspiration from? Are there any artists or albums that you especially love?
I love listening to the Pop girls at the moment like Dua Lipa and Ariana Grande. But on top of that I also listen to older RnB like Aaliyah and Mariah Carey because I love adding that 90’s flavour.
When you are having a bad day, what song lifts you up?
It’s either Love On Top – Beyoncé or Fantasy – Mariah Carey.
How would you describe the vibes of your two EPs set to be released this year?
I would say the EP’s are honest, soulful , pop , a true representation of exactly where I’m at.
You’ve already done so much at such a young age. What are your hopes for the future?
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Performing will always be my first love so I hope to be doing a world tour, that would be a dream!
If you were to feature anyone on a track, what artist would you be stoked to work with?
There are so many people I would love to collab with but to do a track with Pharrell Williams would be insane.
You just released a new song ‘Commitment’. It would be great if you could characterise it in five words.
A bop with a lotta soul – sorry that’s six!
What is your favourite part of the creative process?
I love jamming melodies. I think of it like one big hooky Adlib.
