#FREEMEEK… The New Docuseries Coming Out Soon

Tuesday 19 March 2019

A six-part docuseries is set to be released soon about rapper Meek Mill’s (Robert Rihmeek Williams) battles with the courts over the course of many years. The docuseries, produced by Jay-Z, Eli Holzman, Aaron Saidman and Paul and Isaac Solotaroff, seeks to determine the truth behind his many arrests and charges.

It is set to come out this summer and will explore the unjust and faulty legal system that incarcerates African Americans at a much higher rate. According to the NAACP, African Americans are incarcerated at more than five times the rate of whites. When it comes to drugs, African Americans and whites use drugs at similar rates, but the imprisonment rate of African Americans for drug charges is almost six times that of whites.

The trailer below shows a brief look at the exploration into the justice system and how it has become more and more corrupt over time, and this time, a young rapper is in the crosshairs.

The series will only be offered on Amazon’s Prime Video.
