New York Fashion Week is chugging along, with designers showcasing their latest work. From Christian Siriano showcasing silver space-like fabulousness to Tory Burch’s architecturally powerful coats, blouses and trousers, this year’s fashion week is everything and more.
Longchamp showed a more muted collection with soft black leather, studs and a hint of animal textures/prints sprinkled among the pieces. The mixing of prints is what made the Longchamp collection so powerful; bright red snakeskin boots paired with a black and white flouncy dress and a cheetah print belt create a multi-dimsensional, but still ready-to-wear outfit sure to turn heads.
Brandon Maxwell showcased a beautiful and luxurious Fall 2019 ready-to-wear collection. The show starts out with some beautiful black and white basics. One of the most chic is a look featuring an oversized white turtle neck jumper with a classy floor-length skirt with a slit and black pumps. Understated, yet sexy. The collection also had pops of colourful pink and green pieces which were striking against the black and white neutrals
Another collection with bright pops of colour was the Sies Marjan Fall 2019 ready-to-wear. With a mixture of vibrant neons and sparkle, the collection looks like the inside of a kaleidoscope. New York Fashion Week continues through 13 February, and there are sure to be more beautiful looks on the way.
