The BRITS 2019: All You Need To Know

Thursday 21 February 2019

February 20th saw the return of the annual BRIT Awards, the UK’s biggest night for British music. Taking place at the legendary O2 arena, the night was full of spectacular performances, A-list celebrities and solid entertainment from host Jack Whitewall. The energy was high from start to finish making this year’s show one to remember.

Jack Whitewall was absolutely hilarious! With each interview with the guests packed full of zingers and awkwardly, funny moments (we’re looking at you, Little Mix and Shawn Mendes). Last year’s controversy surrounding his material didn’t hold back the comedian.

The night was full of spectacular performances

To open the show Hugh Jackman sang the number The Greatest Show from the 2017 hit musical The Greatest Showman. The performance was full of acrobats, fire and amazing vocals from Jackman.

Jorja Smith sang her hit ballad Don’t Watch Me Cry, a beautiful performance that displayed her angelic voice.

Calvin Harris performed a medley of his most recent hits Giant, One Kiss and Promises with Rag’N’Bone man, Sam Smith, and Dua Lipa.

George Ezra performed his bluesy and soulful hit Shotgun

Little Mix brought the sass and energy to their performance of the song Woman Like Me, tapping South London rapper Ms Banks take over vocals from Nicki Minaj.

The 1975 performed their amazing hit Sincerity is Scary. The gang was accompanied by a soulful choir and funky live band

Jess Glyne and H.ER. brought an empowering message of self-love and the tackling of social beauty standards with their performance of their hit single Thursday.

Recipient of the Outstanding Contribution award and all-around badass P!nk closed the show with a fiery performance of some of her most recent hits, including Try, Just Give Me A Reason, and Just Like Fire,to name a few.

And of course the Awards…
