Blue Americans are a Northern Ireland experimental-pop duo consisting of Kris Platt and Daniel Morgan Ball.
The pair is releasing their debut EP Sum Yen 12th April, which includes singles ‘Honey,’ ‘Dumbo,’ and ‘Sunchaser.’
Inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s work, the pair’s latest music video ‘Sunchaser’ is being released today. The video features incredible graphics and transitions alongside an enthralling performance by both Kris and Daniel.
Both note that “the artwork that coincides with our music holds just as much importance in our minds. For this video we wanted to incorporate that feeling and aesthetic. To make the video an extension of the artwork. Wild and colourful, dark and sporadic. The girl in the balaclava is the personification of our sunchaser. Guarded and faceless, never giving too much of themselves away, instead seething behind a mask at what the world has become and avoiding the ultimatum that, regardless of the doom and gloom, the world that they despise ain’t so bad after all.”
