Dance-electronic trio TELYKast just released ‘Better,’ their latest high-energy anthem perfect for the summer months featuring Aly Ryan.
Consisting of Trevor, Linus, and Kyle, each member of TELYKast brings a diverse set of experiences to the table, which creates their unique sound. With Trevor in the metal band scene, Linus in jazz guitar, and Kyle DJing dance music before their union, the three blend together perfectly to create catchy tunes.
‘Better’ details the one thing all members found to have in common: entering back into an abusive relationship with a significant other when you know you shouldn’t. It is the thought that you should know ‘Better,’ and not give into the habit of returning, but the love remains and is powerful enough to convince otherwise.
The band comments that “We want this song to spark a movement of self-love, self-esteem, and self-care for people who have gone through this… We hope that everyone enjoys it and can find something positive that they can take from it and use in their own life to better themselves. We invite everyone to share a story of struggle they’ve had in a relationship and how they got better. Whether it be abuse, mental health, or any kind of trauma, we want people to be able to be open about it and share their story in the hopes that they will themselves be better.”
The trio eat, sleep, and breathe music, literally turning their bedrooms into professional studios. They make their music exclusively with instruments, which is reflected in the band’s organic sound.
