Fashion Internship

This role will be assisting Heather on her freelance shoots, as well as Spindle photo shoots. The internship will benefit someone who has a keen interest in all areas of styling (particularly music) and enjoys researching. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly pull together fashion news stories and have a confident telephone manner.

Duties:
Sample Request / handle appoints diary
Pick up / Return Samples
Assist on Location
Research
Liase with fashion PRs
Write fashion news stories
Managing/Styling ‘Shoot of the Day’
This role would be working closely with Spindle’s Editor Heather Falconer and Fashion Features Charlie Matthews

Journalism and Social Media Internship

This role would suit a budding journalist who is able to quickly write up news stories. The candidate must have a keen interest in fashion, music and art and also be able to offer

Duties:
Transcribing interviews for core team
Interviewing designers/musicians and artists
Researching new music and always being ahead of the newest emerging talent
This role would be working closely with Spindle’s Deputy Editor Amy Lavelle and Canadian Editor Thomas DD
Reviewing exhibitions, gigs and press previews

New Music and Events Internship

This role would suit a budding events manager who has a keen interest in art and music, preferably London based and able to attend Spindle events.

Duties:

Researching new music
Liaising with booking agents
Assisting with events management
PR and Social Networking
Has a keen interest in events and promotions

Assistant Advertising Manager

The role is to support the Advertising Manager in duties of selling across the spindle media portfolio.Central to the project is the magazine and daily blog. Other areas include event sponsorship sales, brand partnerships and product placement deals.

Experience is not essential, however, a desire to succeed, an understanding of the fashion/arts/music sector and willingness to embrace the ideals of Spindle are. You will be offered support throughout with an initial training program, on the job coaching and a regular review process. Each review process will give you an opportunity for you to discuss your personal needs and ambitions.

If you are looking for a creative, fun and diverse job, and can handle the challenge of a sales role, then this could be the job for you.

The role is based in East London, depending on your circumstances, however, minimum of two days a week in the office is essential. There may also be the need for further regional and international travel.
